Friendship Headphones

Here's what you will need!
Favorite pair of headphones/ear buds
1 spool of crochet thread ($3 at craft store)

It's really simple to do this..especially if you already have knowledge on how to make friendship bracelets! However this is the most tedious project I have ever done and it seems like it takes forever. All you do is double knot the string onto the cord and then repeatedly tie knots around the cord. Any place that you need to skip over, just tie it off and cut it and pick up on the other side. I also used super glue on all the ends where I cut the string, just so it does not come undone after allllll that work!

They really look great and I am trilled at how they turned out! BUT GOLLY GEE WHIZ that was a pain!

Chocolate Candy Coated Cake

Ingredients:
  • Box cake mix
  • Icing (homemade or 1 container)
  • 1 bag of Chocolate Candies (You may need two depending on cake size)

Prepare the cake as directed and let cool down.  Ice the cake and place in refrigerator for approximately 20 minutes until icing sets up a little. Then decorate the cake in a wavy pattern with the candies! EASY!!

I used 8 inch cake pans and just over 1 bag of candies. I sprinkled extra around the edge of the cake and started in the middle of the cake with the wave. Happy Birthday Mom!

Creative Crayons!

Here's what you will need!!
  • Crayons
  • Silicon Baking Molds (I found mine at AC Moore)
  • Cookie Sheets

Carefully remove the paper of each crayon (get kids to help or Adults may use a knife). This is the most tedious part! Then snap each crayon into little pieces (about 1/2 and inch) and mix together the colors you desire. Put silicon molds on top of metal cookie sheets! This will make lifting them out of the oven A LOT easier. Place crayon pieces in molds. Bake in oven for 15 minutes on 230 degrees or until melted.  Pull them out and let them cool or place in refrigerator for fast cooling (cools in about 20 minutes). Once hardened you or your kids may pop them out and they are ready for coloring!

I sat in front of the oven with the light on watching them melt. (It's the kid in me!) I am looking forward to making these with my 2 handsome Nephews and my beautiful Niece! My youngest nephew saw the picture of these and said "those are really good crayon"!

Homemade Foot Scrub

Ingredients
1 cup granulated sugar
Olive Oil ( if you want a clear oil try safflower oil or baby oil)
3 drops of Essential Oil  (you can find these at any craft store)
Food coloring (optional and until you reach desired color)

In mixing bowl mix granulated sugar and gradually add Olive Oil until it is slightly wet.  Add a few drops of Essential Oil.  Transfer the scrub to a mason jar for excellent keeping.

This would make a great gift but honestly I love it and use it at least once a week with the pumice stone! I like to do it at night and then put socks on to keep my feet even more soft and I used a plumeria essential oil which smells wonderful!

Approximate price $7 (jar, sugar, olive oil, essential oil, food coloring, pumice stone)
